I’m the type of therapist who will help you learn skills that can free you from your pain and suffering; I use evidence-based therapy practices and the power of therapeutic connection.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve had the desire to understand human thought and behavior.

It’s this desire that led me to become a psychologist. Working in mental health, I’ve learned how my own personal life experiences combined with my multicultural identity have shaped my beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This understanding has helped me to offer my clients wonderful, kind, warm, and compassionate care.

In life there may be unique challenges, difficulties, or stressors you or a loved one will encounter that might affect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

You might also find that your problems or worries affect your work and relationships. You may feel stuck and worry you’ll have to live the rest of your life dealing with these issues.

I want you to know that there’s hope and you don’t have to continue life feeling trapped.

You don’t have to continue feeling anxious or stressed, and I want to support you in improving your overall quality of life, work, and relationships.

I believe therapy can be a wonderful experience where people from all walks of life can come to a safe and non-judgmental space, where they can learn to be vulnerable and explore their unique way of walking through the world. I value building a strong therapeutic relationship with the people I work with using authenticity, genuineness, empathy, warmth, humor, and unconditional positive regard.

I’ll teach you how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all interconnected and affect who you are and the relationships you’re in.

Understanding these connections will help you to grow and change. We can work together to identify and revise your unhelpful patterns. I’ll also show you how to reduce your worry and fears through mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

I welcome all individuals and couples from diverse multicultural backgrounds which includes age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religion/spirituality, and ability/ableness.

My goal as a therapist is to help individuals and couples on their journey to overcoming their challenges and create a life of their own design. I want people to know they don’t have to face their problems alone – I’m here to help and we can work together on enhancing your overall quality of life.

On a personal note, when I’m not practicing therapy you might find me spending time with my loving wife & our animals or working in the United States Army Reserves.
