Ginger Eachus therapist sacramento

Hi! I’m Ginger.

I’m the type of therapist who understands how hard we can work to feel loved. How we can wear a smile on our face, crack jokes, and try to keep people happy, even while feeling alone and anxious inside.

Clients have told me they feel comfortable showing up as themselves (curse words in session are a-ok with me!) and that they appreciate my directness and ease with difficult topics.

I provide therapy for adults:

I help people who feel anxious in relationships to feel lovable, at ease, and empowered.

You have been hurt in relationships before. Maybe a past partner cheated on you, or you had a traumatic childhood experience. When in a relationship, you can find yourself ruminating and getting stuck trying to “figure it out”. This anxiousness might lead you to chase after your partner, or pull away from them. You might feel desperate to keep your partner and may be sacrificing your own needs or wants in an attempt to do so. You may even be experiencing a block when it comes to sex, despite wanting a fulfilling sex life. This can lead you to avoid expressing your sexual desires or avoid having sex altogether out of embarrassment, shame, or fear.

Through therapy, you can feel worthy, secure and confident.

I also provide couples therapy:

I help couples struggling with communication to grow their emotional and physical intimacy.

You are really stuck when you try to communicate with each other. One of you is more emotional, and one partner is more logical. As much as you try to communicate, it feels like you keep missing each other–or even saying hurtful things that you don’t really mean. Sometimes it feels like you’re speaking different languages. You feel stuck in this pattern, and both partners may feel misunderstood or unheard. You may also have a mismatch in sexual desire or interests, and it may feel impossible to talk about it together.

Through therapy, you can feel attuned to each other, emotionally and sexually connected, and confident that you can handle any disagreement together.

On a personal note…

I enjoy laughing, dancing, writing & reading fantasy, eating my way through a vacation, and hanging out with my cat Ellie (also known as Jellie Bean). I’m always trying out a fun and fresh new hobby, and rotate through them throughout the year as inspiration strikes. I use tarot as a tool for personal insight, and am always open to incorporating this into sessions upon a client’s request.

I believe that relationships are the pillar around which our most valuable lessons orbit. Through relationships of all kinds, we can experience deep pain & grief, and also deep healing & joy. It is my greatest honor in this life to walk alongside my clients while they navigate these.
