Hi! I’m Emma Derstine, therapist at Love Heal Grow. Do you want to create connections for a better life and relationships? I’m excited to lead this group because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful group work is. Group offers a space to co-create safety with others, turn inward with curiosity, and explore new, more authentic ways of showing up. In this space, people often gain insight into their patterns, connect authentically with others, and bring forward parts of themselves they’ve kept hidden. There is something sacred about group, and it is always a privilege to participate in that process and to see the growth that becomes possible in this setting.
This group is a good fit for you if:
● You feel stuck in old patterns in your relationships, such as people-pleasing, avoiding conflict, or otherwise performing.
● You notice that you have difficulty being fully yourself around others, or that parts of you feel hidden, rejected, or misunderstood.
● You find yourself playing out family or past relational dynamics and wondering if these can ever change.
● You experience frustration, loneliness, or disconnection in relationships and are ready to explore new ways of connecting and getting your relational needs met.
● You desire a supportive space to learn more about yourself and others.
This group helps adults who feel isolated or have difficulty in relationships:
● Feel seen, understood, and accepted for who you really are, and experience more compassion for yourself and those around you.
● Recognize that there is nothing inherently wrong with you. Your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors make sense and can change.
● Be empowered to pursue change and feel supported in trying more authentic ways of communicating and relating.
● Experience the healing power of presence and connection, and notice how awareness and interpersonal engagement open new possibilities for growth,insight, and belonging.
