Hi! I’m Ann Marie.
I’m the type of therapist who is skilled at supporting people with some of the very hardest times in life including divorce, family estrangement, grief, and death & dying. It can feel hard to face these things–I will help you feel less alone as you move through this pain to the other-side.
My clients tell things like, “I feel so much better when I see you;” and they appreciate the wisdom that comes from my many years as a therapist.
I provide therapy for adults:
I help people facing a difficult or challenging transition in their lives or relationships. Divorce, grief, death & dying, family estrangement — these are the challenges my clients bring to therapy and we work through it together.
You are feeling hurt, afraid and alone/unsupported. How does no one seem to understand the pain you are going through? Letting go is hard, your heart is breaking, and at the same time you are longing to find hope and a peaceful connection as you experience this pain.
You might be thinking things like “I am so stressed and I’d rather avoid my feelings;” or “Will this pain ever stop? I’m just not the same as I used to be.”
Through therapy, you can feel secure, at ease, and unafraid to speak your truths.
I also provide couples and family therapy:
I help couples & families gain insight and healing when family and relationship issues are causing them pain; I provide them with understanding, education, and helpful interventions.
You feel hurt, alone, and fearful. You’re disconnected, hurting deeply and this is resulting in increased conflict & concerns. You might be worried that nothing will change and that you’ll never feel understood. If you are struggling with aging, death and dying, or other grief including a loss of a relationship or an estrangement–you might feel so isolated during this time and like no one can talk to you about how you are feeling.
Through therapy, you can feel connected, understood, and loved.
On a personal note…
In my spare time I enjoy going on walks, taking bike rides, being in nature, practicing yoga, baking for others, traveling, spirituality, exploring cultures, historical documentaries and listening to music.
