When we try, sometimes we fall. And that’s okay.
Think of a child learning to ride a bike. Their excitement to try something new. Practicing first with training wheels. Then with someone else holding them and running beside.
Now it’s time to take a big risk, on their own, balancing and peddling.
What if they fall? Tears, scrapes, embarrassment, needing to be comforted.
Do you encourage them to give up?
Nope, because it’s ok to fall. It’s part of the learning process. And it’s so important to get back on and try again.
Because after the falls have stopped, the tears have dried and the scrapes have healed, you haven’t just learned to ride a bike. You’ve learned to believe in yourself.
